Last Supper -Keith May 2003

What's that? What did you say?

Oh "I love you" C'mon not today.

And your lips taste just like that bitter grape

so sweet at dinner, but now I can't stand the taste.

Oh, I think I'm gonna have to let you know

Oh, someone should really let you know

that I'm gonna have to let you go.

And this should come as no surprise

as I watch my reflection droop from your eyes

and remember that time I towed your car?

It was my fault I left it all night at the bar.

And that friend I stayed with his name was Janelle

Oh, I think I'm gonna have to let you know

Oh, someone should really let you know

that I'm gonna have to let you go.

Did I come on like a lamb but leave you like a lion?

My big break-up song.  A fan favorite for sure and a great way to close any performance and the "Balladeer" CD.  To truly appreciate it you must see the full band perform it live.  I've been playing it out so long and people really react to it, I'm so relieved they can actually pick up a copy now. Fun lyrics, solid groove, great stuff.
